Following the Application of Cell Therapy in Bone & Joints Diseases Seminar on January 10th, Royan Institute held a practical workshop with the same name in the operating room on January 11th, 2013. The orthopedic ward of Royan Cell Therapy Center organizd the Application of Cell Therapy in Bone & Joints Diseases workshop with 11 participants who were specialists in orthopedics or surgeons.

This profesional workshop included the following items:

  • Bone marrow-derived mesenchymal stem cell transplantation in Nonunion of femur and tibia
  • Bone marrow-derived mesenchymal stem cell transplantation in knee osteoarthritis
  • Transplantation of autologous chondrocyte cells (with fibrin glue) in patients with articular cartilage defect
Dr M Emadedin was the scientific manager of this workshop and Dr A Mirazimi Bafghi was the executive secretary.
