On February 12th-13th, 2014 the research genetics lab of Reproductive Genetics Department organized the fourth theoretical and practical workshop on “Chromatin Immunoprecipitation (ChIP) in Epigenetic Analyses” at Royan Institute with 9 trainees.

This two-day workshop carried the following theoretical and practical subjects:
  • A preface to epigenetic
  • Molecular mechanisms of gene regulation
  • ChIP as a powerful tool for studying chromatin modifications and variations
  • Whole genome mapping using ChIP-on-Chip and ChIP-sequencing
  • Nuclei isolation
  • Soluble chromatin preparation
  • Immunoprecipitation
  • DNA recovery
  • Real-time PCR
  • Data analysis

Dr M Shahhoseini organized this workshop as scientific manager, R Favaedi was in charge of executive managment, and Y. Samadieh was the executive staff.
