The third workshop on Design of Clinical Trial was held on June 6th-7th at Royan Institute.
In this training workshop the following subjects were discussed:- The importance of clinical trials role in evidence base medicine
- The different phases of clinical trial
- Its different designs (parallel,cross-over and sequential designs)
- The different techniques of randomization
- Blinding
- The principles and methods of calculating sample size
- Introduction of NCSS software
- Clinical trial reporting standards
15 clinical and basic science experts attended this two-day workshop which teachers were Dr Akhlaghi (specialist in statistics) and doctor Shamsi pour (Epidemiologist). |
