The “Stem Cell Nano Engineering” seminar combined two novel topics of nanotechnology and stem cells, including theoretical sessions which were delivered by national and international senior professors, and the practical workshop of advance technologies in nanofiber production in electrospinning which was provided on October 28th.
This seminar covered principles of electrospinning process, also controlling topographical cues of nanofibers such as diameter, pore size and alignment via manipulation of spinning parameters as well as recent progresses in electrospinning and the application of bioactive nanofibrous meshes in stem cell engineering and tissue engineering.
253 graduates and students in the fields of tissue engineering, biomedical engineering, polymer engineering, chemical engineering, textile engineering passed this seminar that was organized by Prof H Baharvand as scientific manager and F khayyatan as executive secretary.
